Lexington, Va. – Up to Par Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Ahrnsbrak to the position of General Manager of The Lexington Golf and Country Club. Ahrnsbrak will be responsible for running the historic club and overall, day-to-day operations.
Mike Ahrnsbrak gained valuable experience as General Manager for Blue Ridge Shadows Resort and Golf Club (Va.), as well as the Musket Ridge Golf Club (Md.). At Blue Ridge Shadows, Mike hired and trained staff, opened vendor accounts, created business and marketing plans, created budget, redesigned logo, website and opened the golf course two weeks ahead of the scheduled opening. His successes at Musket Ridge include a 22% growth in rounds, developing the standardized training manuals, designing and overseeing the addition banquet venue, and achieving the “Bride’s Choice Award” designation by Wedding Wire. Ahrnsbrak was also the owner and president of the MBMAS Golf Consulting Group, a Golf consulting business specializing in golf operations, marketing, sales and management.

Ahrnsbrak is a nationally recognized PGA leader and Past President of Mid Atlantic PGA and District 10 Representative. His accolades include being named as one of “Best Teachers in State” by Golf Digest, MAPGA Golf Professional of the Year, MAPGA Merchandiser of the Year – Resort, MAPGA Horton Smith Award for Education,and MAPGA Assistant Professional of the Year. Additionally, he earned the ‘America’s Top 100 Golf Shops’ by Golf Shop Operations Magazine, and was elected to the Dewar’s Hall of Fame for Virginia Golf Professionals.
